I need a Vacation

The ice is out in Blaine for maintenance so I have almost 2 weeks for a vacation.

First, I went to New York City. I have never been there and it really seems like a bucket list kind of thing. So, visit New York City: check. Get robbed in New York City: check, that’s a thing, right?  They tried for my purse but only got my cousins sweater that I borrowed, sorry Tracy.

Next I took an 11 hour bus ride to get to my parents house. I assure you that was not on my bucket list but it was cheap.

It’s so great to be home for a visit with my family, home cooked meals and lounging by the pool…… One of the wettest summers on record so far because of all the rain… see where this vacation is going, lol

Its not all sitting around listening to the rain, I also have a need to build. This summer my project is to build pallet patio furniture for my brother’s new place. I’m pretty excited about it. I will share a picture when it is done!

When the rain stops, I do want to lounge by the pool, go to an old fashioned drive-in movie and make s’mores on the bonfire.

 

Before I know it, my vacation time will be up and I’ll be back on a plane (no bus this time) to continue my summer training.
